I am the only introvert in my family. Everyone else is super-extroverted. My parents also believed that if they yelled at me or humiliated me enough I would eventually turn into an extrovert (to avoid the yelling and humiliation I guess.) It was bad.

Can’t tell you how many times people get frustrated while I’m thinking of how to reply to them.  And if I’m upset, pushing me to explain why will not calm me down.
